Well the Artfull Hand has one year in being in business. It's been an exciting year with new beginnings, new techniques, new materials, new and old friends.
I want to publically thank all my friends for making this a reality. To those who lent me money, who helped me find bargins, who helped move stuff, who painted, stacked, unpacked, stocked and all the other stuff that goes into running a retail business including buying my wares. And those who helped through out the year covering shifts, teaching classes and leading make and takes. I could not have done
any of it with out the help of my friends.
It's been very interesting for me to actually run a retail business not to mention a real educational experience. However there is a down side to this one year success. That is my DH. He is not as supportive as I would like. HE is the one friend that should really be there for me. Now I must say he puts up with a lot of stuff because of this business. He hasn't stop me from doing this venture. But he hasn't actively helped either. He will come and do something if I ask him. Volunteering doesn't seem to be in his vocabulary. This hurts some. Today there was a blow up from him for something that was beyond my control. I think later he realized he was being childish but didn't apologize for his outburst.
So this anniversary is bittersweet. Sweet are my friends. Thank you so much.
